For more information, please contact us at scholarships@PisgahHealthFoundation.org

  • The Jane Walker Freeman Memorial Nursing Scholarship was established by her family and friends in 1987 as a remembrance of Jane Walker Freeman and her contribution to humanity. The funds have been placed with the Pisgah Health Foundation as an endowed scholarship with the income providing tuition support for deserving Transylvanians entering the nursing profession.  Jane Walker Freeman was a generous, caring person who contributed much to all. It was her hope that recipients of this fund, upon receiving their nursing certification, would become contributors and encourage others to give to the support and advancement of their fellow persons.
