Pisgah Health Foundation to Host Board Governance Workshop
Brevard, N.C. (February 2026) — Pisgah Health Foundation invites nonprofit leaders to the Board Governance Training with WNC Nonprofit Pathways, an intensive session designed to strengthen the foundation of regional impact. Hosted at The Trust Center in downtown Brevard, this workshop provides a dedicated space for leadership teams to align their vision and refine their organizational health.
Event Overview
Facilitated by Jeannette Butterworth, Director of WNC Nonprofit Pathways, this training moves beyond theory to provide actionable insights for high-performing boards. Participants will engage in deep dives into:
Defining Roles: Distinguishing the vital boundaries between Board oversight and ED/Staff management.
Fiduciary Excellence: Ensuring every leader understands their legal and ethical responsibilities.
Governance Best Practices: Implementing frameworks that promote transparency and long-term sustainability.
To foster true collaboration, we invite Board Chairs, Executive Directors, and up to 3–4 board members per organization to attend together. The evening will conclude with a catered dinner and guided peer conversations, allowing leaders to troubleshoot challenges and share successes with colleagues from across the region.
