The Physician’s Round Table

The Physician’s Round Table is a way for active and retired physicians to come together for the betterment of their communities. This distinguished group discusses current health trends and how best to keep our residents informed and updated on health and well-being.

Dr. Dunkelberg

A Brief History of The Physician’s Roundtable

Dr. Ray Dunkelberg, long time family practice physician (now retired), along with many other retired and currently practicing physicians have played a large role in orchestrating the Pisgah Health Foundation’s Physician’s Roundtable.

Physicians are often expected to use their knowledge and skills for the betterment of the population—both of the community at large and of the people who comprise the community.  Because of this, the focus of the Physician’s Roundtable has been to bring together like-minded philanthropic and caring physicians who wish to serve the causes of Social Determinants of Health through their affinity for the health and well-being of western North Carolina residents.

The Roundtable has been instrumental in providing information on staying safe during the pandemic as well as meeting virtually on a regular basis to stay up to date on health trends, keeping our frontline workers and our elder communities safe during a pandemic.

If you’re a currently practicing or retired physician and want to be part of this amazing group of professionals, call or email Pisgah Health Foundation today.
